Scoping the Engagement

The plan is the first deliverable: Day Zero, the audit→spec→build ladder, one target, an owner signature.

Class recording

The lecture recording posts here after the class is taught.

Class summary

The engagement starts. Visit one is Day Zero — preflight, four artifacts you can produce for free before anyone builds anything, and the trap that eats the visit if you let it. The four on-site visits are the scarce resource of the whole block, and the timeline slide is the "you are here" spine carried across all four capstone decks.

The deliverable menu is then taught as a ladder — audit, spec, working build — with guidance on where to aim, why back-office comes first, and how to design for the friction you found. The block ends at the approval meeting: what approving actually means, how to run it as a decision event, and the exit checklist that has to be signed before building starts.
