Class summary
The eval gate first: what actually ships, how to validate the judge before trusting it, and criteria drift. Binary pass/fail, never a 1–5 scale — range scores are close to impossible to align with human preference. Then acceptance executed formally, and the install itself. Visit four is the last on-site, and Thanksgiving week is the involuntary proof that the tool runs with nobody in the building.
The block closes on the economics nobody shows the client: development is a fifth to two fifths of lifecycle cost and maintenance is the rest, humans still perform the overwhelming majority of maintenance on AI-generated files, and an honest total cost of ownership includes the exit path by name.
